PBA Singapore Flat Round air bearings allow anyone to design and build their own custom air bearing assemblies. The round configuration makes the most efficient use of standard raw materials and ultra-precision manufacturing techniques, ensuring low-cost standard product availability.
These bearings compare favorably with conventional rolling element bearings across virtually every performance characteristic. They are appropriate for highly-loaded applications, and are the easiest type of bearings to integrate into prototype designs as they can be readily replaced or changed.
They are also easy to apply. The gimbled mount allows for great flexibility in tolerance, and the threaded ball studs make alignment simple. In addition to the standard product line (shown), custom flat round bearings are also available, including replacement bearings for many CMM's.
